i sure hope you're not questioning me. meh, i'll just look at the positive side and take that as a compliment. (if you look at the original you'd see the differences)
the other comment was kind of mean, so i thought i would make a comment.... when first saw it i was amazed that it was done in pencil... you did a good job on it
I agree that it looks like a desaturated photo, but I can tell by your other pieces that you are a good artist and you would be capable of doing a good photo realistic portrait, so you wouldn't really have a reason to rip of a photo. One good way to show people that its your own work is to post work in progress pictures, proving that its a drawing. You may gather more suspicion otherwise. Just something to remember for the future!
and hell, do your research before you make assumptions. The original image is available at this site:

(by the way, you said it looked as though I took a photo...i guess you failed to notice two things: A. it's reproduced from the image that appears on the "let it be" album, and B. i'm 19, so how could i possibly take a picture of someone who died in 1980?)
I've seen drawings that have been confused for photos before, as in up-close and shit. Hell, I even did this one of Alice Cooper that some people in an old art class thought was an edited photo that I printed out -- until they saw it up close (must scan that fucker...).
This one is definately going in with my "favourites" -- you're very skilled.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
